Oil rig

We live in a fairly secluded area. There are a total of 7 houses on the mile-long stretch of gravel known as Elm Road. Ours is one of them. Our neighbors on one side are sheep farmers. On the other side, it's open cow pasture. We have permission to hike on it, so we've spent many Sabbath afternoons hiking through it. We basically have had it to ourselves.

Not anymore. Now we're going to have to share. Heavy equipment is now reshaping the field. The bulldozer driver informed us that they're going to be building an oil rig. Right next to our property. The trees in the picture below are on the fence line - you can see how close this is to our property. It's going to be an interesting 3 months... I'll try to post more pictures as the construction progresses.

This is the same patch of ground as in the first picture.
